The Green-Wood CompanyThe Green-Wood Company is a newly formed division of Specialist Joinery (South) Ltd formed to develop, source, market and manufacture environmentally sound timber products using sustainable timber sources with chain of custody certification. We are now producing joinery using laminated and finger jointed Sweet Chestnut. This is grown locally throughout Sussex and Kent and ‘harvested'' using the coppicing system which retains the tree ‘butt'' for future ‘harvesting'' in years to come. It is then laminated and finger jointed using modern computer controlled machinery, techniques and adhesives to produce extremely stable and very durable long lasting joinery sections for windows, doors and other joinery items
